Mr. Pottinger joined the ACGI group of companies in 1981 as Vice President Finance and has held his present position as President of ACGI Shipping Inc. since 2003. During his 33 years with the Company, Mr. Pottinger has been involved in all aspects of the Company’s business including ship chartering, brokerage, agency, ship company investment, management buy-out and divesture, subsidiary acquisitions, real estate, new business and administration. A Chartered Accountant by training Mr. Pottinger is active in industry and community associations and is currently a Director of the BC Maritime Employers Association which is responsible for negotiation and administration of the ILWU labour agreement.
Erich Billung-Meyer
Senior Vice President Operations & COO

Mr. Billung-Meyer joined the ACGI group of companies in 2001 as the Operations Manager and held the position of Vice President Operations from 2004 to 2010. In 2010 he was promoted to Senior Vice President Operations & COO. A Marine Engineer by training Mr. Billung-Meyer sailed in the Canadian Arctic on a variety of vessels engaged in oil and gas exploration. Prior to joining ACGI, Mr.Billung-Meyer was employed for 10 years with another Vancouver based Shipping Agency and is very familiar with all aspects of vessel and West coast port operations. He has and continues to be an active member of various industry associations and community groups.
Mr. Billung-Meyer resides in North Vancouver with his wife Caroline and their daughter Julia and in his free time he enjoys salt-water fishing, skiing, motorcycling and other outdoor activities.
Michele LaPica
Line Manager d'Amico Dry

Captain La Pica transferred to the ACGI Vancouver office in 2003 as Line Manger, d'Amico Dry. Prior to this appointment Captain La Pica was Owners’ Representative for Italia Line in South America, located in Santiago Chile. A native of Sicily, Mr. La Pica started his career with the d’Amico group at sea and attained the position of Chief Officer before transferring to shore operations. Fluent in Italian, Spanish and English, Captain La Pica has a very broad shipping background and is able to provide a unique perspective to his role, focusing on customer service to our Medbulk customers, particularly in the forest products industry.
Captain La Pica resides in North Vancouver with his Chilean wife Paola and his young daughters Giovanna Fiorella and Micaela Alessia and his son Massimo.
Gordon Der
Line Manager ACGI Logistics

Gordon has been with the ACGI group of companies since 1994 as Liner Service Coordinator and has held his present position as Line Manager for ACGI Logistics since 2000. During his time with ACGI Gordon has been involved in the marketing and logistics for various container lines. Gordon was also instrumental in securing the agency nomination for one of the largest container carriers in the world. A transportation specialist, Gordon had gained a wealth of local shipping experience prior to joining ACGI with carriers such as Y.S. Lines, Nippon Liner Systems and Evergreen America Corporation.
He has over 30 years experience in the logistics field and has been actively involved in many aspects of the shipping industry. He has held Directorships for the BC Chamber of Shipping, The Greater Vancouver Gateway Council, The Quality Council of BC, the BCMEA and was Chairman for The Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters.
Gordon enjoys sailing, skiing and motorcycling in his free time and currently resides in North Vancouver with his family.
